What is permethrin?

Permethrin is a synthetic version of a natural insecticide found in chrysanthemum flowers. Applied to fabric — never skin — it bonds to the fibers and knocks down insects that land on you before they ever reach skin.

It’s the same approach the U.S. military uses for field uniforms. Ranger Ready’s Permethrin 0.5% is EPA-registered, unscented once dry, won’t stain or damage any fabric, and keeps working through up to 40 days or 5 washes per treatment.

How to treat your gear

Ten minutes of spraying buys you a month-plus of protection.

Glove up & hang the gear

Put on protective gloves and hang clothing outdoors or in a ventilated space.
Spray 6–8 inches away

Coat both sides of the fabric until damp — hit cuffs, collars, socks and boot tops where ticks climb aboard.
Dry 2+ hours

Let everything dry completely before wearing. Once dry, it’s odorless and invisible.
Forget about it for 40 days

One treatment lasts up to 40 days or 5 washes. Re-treat after that — that’s the whole routine.
